# WHY USE GANDER?
# Food waste feeds landfills while starving the planet.
When we waste food, we also waste all the land, energy and water it takes to grow, harvest, transport and package it.
When it goes to landfill, food waste produces a greenhouse gas even more potent than carbon dioxide.
According to Project Drawdown, **reducing food waste is the #3 solution to reversing global warming**.
